60's-style Pine "Barncaster"
Up for sale is this newly completed T-style guitar, fresh out of the Stewart Guitars Shop.
Built on the Classic 60’s format, this guitar is made of completely locally sourced woods from the local Adirondack Mountains. The body is made with 2-piece, book-matched Pine, and stained with a proprietary blend to achieve what we call the “Weathered Barn-caster” finish. The neck is made of locally sourced Hard Maple, with a gorgeously figured maple fretboard.
Equipped with Hipshot, Open-gear, non-locking tuners, the traditional neck-dive of T-style guitars, with light pine bodies, is alleviated. Also, equipped with a Hipshot Bridge assembly, the guitar sports a great balance of sustain, and that spanky sparkle that we want from T-style guitars.
This guitar also has crushed turquoise fretboard inlays. These fret marker inlays, as well as the traditional Stewart guitars ammonite shell headstock inlay, are made with a blend of crushed turquoise.
The pickups are made by Madrone guitars, out of Louisville, CO, and are voiced to be a slightly overwound 60’s spec. 250k CTS pots, and a Oaks 3-way switch make up the bull of the electronics, however, we use a .333 cap on our tone pot, which to our ear sounds best!
Will ship with a hard-shell case to the lower 48 states via UPS.
